Meet the Staff of Parents’ Place

Nathalie Ellis (Executive Director)   


How long have you worked at Parents’ Place: 21 years.   


Favorite Children’s book: Are you my Mother by Dr.Seuss.   


About: Nathalie is passionate about helping her community and loves to be around children. With 21 years under her belt, she makes the perfect Executive Director for Parents’ Place, as she is always ready with a smile, a helping hand, or the perfect bit of advice for anyone that walks through her door. Nathalie is the kind of leader that is not afraid to roll up her sleeves – whether it’s juggling paperwork or jumping in to help with daily tasks, she’s there to keep everything running smoothly. Although she has a lot to do, you can find her doing a little bit of everything, ensuring that Parents’ Place is in tiptop shape.   


 

Jamiee Ellis (Community Support)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 17 years.   


Favorite Children’s book: Skeleton Cat by Kristyn Crow.   


About: Jamiee began her journey at Parents’ Place as a volunteer, and it wasn’t long before she became an essential part of our team. Those who know Jamiee know she brings her whole heart to everything she’s passionate about. While her main role is community support, she’s a true multi-tasker—you’ll find her coordinating large community events, leading cooking classes, hosting potlucks, and planning programs to share with the community. No matter how busy she is, Jamiee is always eager to take on new projects and find more ways to make a positive impact.   


 

Bonnie Doucette (Parenting Journey)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 13 years.   


Favorite Children’s book: The Snowy Day by Ezra Keats   


About: Bonnie leads our Parenting Journeys program, making her our very own “parenting on wheels.” Known for her kindness and compassion, Bonnie is often welcomed into families’ homes, where she provides personalized support and guidance. Whether she’s visiting a home or working from our facilities, Bonnie is there to help navigate all aspects of parenting—from managing discipline and meltdowns to offering much-needed emotional support. Her calm and reassuring presence makes her the perfect fit for this role, creating a safe space for parents to learn and grow.   


 

Taylor Landry (Parent/Adult Programming)   


How long have you worked at Parents’ Place: 1 year.   


Favorite Children’s book: Love You Forever by Robert Munch   


About: Taylor joined our team in early 2024 as our full-time Parent and Adult Programmer, and she’s been busy ever since! From hosting cooking classes and book clubs to leading self-care workshops, mental health discussions, and parenting courses, she brings a diverse range of programs to life. Taylor also connects with clients one-on-one, offering tailored resources, support, and initial crisis relief to those in need. She’s dedicated to making a positive impact and creating a welcoming space for all who seek guidance and community.   


 

Isabel Warren (Outreach)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 5 years   


Favorite Children’s book: Stellaluna by Janell Cannon   


About: Isabel joined Parents’ Place right after finishing school as a children’s programmer, and has since grown into her role as our full-time Outreach Coordinator. Whether she’s inside running cooking classes, crafting program schedules, or organizing events, or out in the community stocking pantries and managing free stores, Isabel is always on the move. Her work centers around tackling food insecurity, creating food-related programs, and ensuring that families in our community have access to the resources they need. She’s a true advocate for her neighbors and a driving force behind our outreach efforts.   


 

JoAnne MacDonald (Bookkeeper)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 10 years.   


Favorite Children’s book: Rumplestiltskin by Brothers Grimm   


About: JoAnne works behind the scenes at Parents’ Place, and though you might not see her often, she is absolutely essential to our team. She keeps us on track with budgeting, manages payments, organizes bills, and so much more. Beyond her work with the staff, JoAnne also provides invaluable support to clients, helping with taxes, financial questions, paperwork, and other essential tasks. She’s the one who fills in all the gaps and makes sure everything runs smoothly—we truly couldn’t do it without her!   


 

Rafaela Pereira (Child/Youth Programming)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 3 months.   


Favorite Children’s book: Alligator Baby by Robert Munch   


About: Rafaela may be our newest team member, but she’s hit the ground running! She oversees all of our children’s programs and events, so you might catch her leading an arts and crafts class, reading during circle time at the library, or organizing playgroups out in the community. On top of that, she’s taken charge of our social media, creating all those engaging posts and posters you see on Facebook. With her enthusiasm and creativity, Rafaela has quickly become an invaluable part of our team!   


 

Jessica Muise (Program Assistant)   


How long have you been with Parents’ Place: 5 years.   


Favorite Children’s book: Five Nights at Freddy’s by Scott Cawthon   


About: As our Program Assistant, Jessica has been an incredible support to everyone at Parents’ Place. Whether it’s lending a hand during programs, gathering supplies, or stepping in wherever she’s needed, she’s always ready to help. And if she’s not busy inside the building, you’ll probably find her in our Trading Post, sorting through and organizing donations. Jessica’s dedication and willingness to pitch in make her an invaluable part of our team!
